Green Spring Units as well as Washington County Life Saving crew; responded to the blind curve at the guard rail going up parksmill road to an MVC involving a 4 door Nissan SUV.

Abingdon Fire, Green Spring Fire, as well as WCLSC responded to a structure fire at 270 Jefferson Circle Apt 20. Black smoke was found coming from the roof of the complex upon arrival. No injuries reported and fire was contained.

Green Springs Fire and WCLSC were dispatched to 19482 County Park Road for three males and a dog that capsized a small vessel in 44 degree water. All three males and the dog were able to be rescued and received treatment quickly and found to be in a white Toyota Tundra upon units arrival.

The Green Spring Vol Fire Department is always looking for members to help us help the community. We provide both fire and medical assistance to the Green Spring community. Positions within the department vary from support staff to actual fire fighting or medical assistance. You may not think you can make a difference, but we know you can. There is a need for members with all abilities from Junior member to Senior member. Come by the station for an application or click the Membership Inquiry tab on the side menu.
